Roy Finney Sr
Although Roy Finney Sr. is no longer here to stand with the team, he will always remain a central part of The Boat Shop. Roy founded this marina more than forty years ago and poured his life into building a place where families could enjoy the lake the same way he did. His work ethic, his love for the water, and his commitment to helping others shaped the culture we still follow today.
Roy was hands on, full of energy, and happiest when he was out on the lake or sharing his knowledge with anyone who needed it. He created a legacy that continues through his family and through the many customers who learned to trust him over the years.
We honor Roy’s memory by carrying forward the values he lived every day. His influence is woven into every corner of The Boat Shop, and he will always be part of who we are.

Roy Finney JR
Roy Finney Jr. is the owner of The Boat Shop in Tafton Pennsylvania. He grew up in the marina world and learned the business from his father who founded The Boat Shop more than forty years ago. Roy took over leadership and has continued the family tradition of helping people enjoy their time on Lake Wallenpaupack.
Roy focuses on customer service, honest guidance, and long term relationships. He has expanded services, modernized parts of the operation, and kept the marina a trusted spot for local boaters. He is hands on and involved in all parts of the business from service to sales to storage.
Outside the marina, Roy enjoys time with his family on the lake and being part of the local community. His goal is simple. Keep The Boat Shop a place where people feel welcome and know their boats are in good care.

Carol Biasotto
If you've ever wondered how things seem to come together around here, there's a good chance Carol had something to do with it.
For more than a decade, she's quietly worn whatever hat the day required, whether that meant helping a customer find the right boat, solving a paperwork puzzle, keeping the office running during the busiest weekends of the year, or simply making sure everyone around here had what they needed.
The truth is, for more than a decade Carol has quietly done whatever was needed to help The Boat Shop and its customers succeed.
She has worn countless hats, learned every corner of the business, and earned the trust of both her coworkers and the families who return to Lake Wallenpaupack year after year.
Today, as the General Manager, Carol is honored to help carry forward the legacy Roy Sr. began and the values that continue to define The Boat Shop.
