Due to the Lake Wallenpaupack drawdown, this year's haul-out process will differ from previous seasons. The Boat Shop has a limited window to remove and process all units. Please review the situation below that applies to you.

Which Situation Applies to You?

Beginning immediately after Labor Day, The Boat Shop will begin removing stored customers' units from their slips. Units located closer to shore may be removed first. We cannot guarantee a specific removal date.
Using your boat after Labor Day
- Call or text us on the day you would like to use your boat, and we will confirm whether it is still in the water
- Availability cannot be confirmed in advance, as the haul-out schedule may change
Reasons the schedule cannot be fixed in advance
- Haul-outs must be completed across a very short timeframe
- Parking and dock space must be maintained for non-slip storage customers
- The drawdown limits the water drop-off period available to us
Available if you purchased your unit from The Boat Shop within the last two years, or we've serviced it within the last two years.
How pickup works
- You may schedule an appointment for the date you would like to pick up your unit
- We may need to remove and winterize the unit before that date
- Your scheduled appointment date will serve as your expected pickup date
If you plan to remove your boat by water, it must be removed from your slip no later than September 13, 2026.
- If The Boat Shop has your trailer in storage, you may schedule a removal date for your unit. However, if we need to remove it earlier, we will do so and place it on your trailer for pickup.
Whenever possible, deliver your unit by trailer rather than by water.
Water drop-off deadline
- Final date for water drop-off is September 20, 2026
- After that, removal may require a public ramp plus an additional transport charge
- Trailer-delivered units can come in any time, even after the deadline
Requesting service
- Winterization, bottom wash, and shrink wrap are available now
- Additional work can be scheduled starting around October 31 for trailer-delivered units
